Summary/Objective:

Employee is responsible for managing the coordination, integration, and implementation of all technology systems at the school’s campus, while understanding the Mission, Vision, Core Values, Employee Handbook and other school policies of Oxbridge Academy, ensuring the adherence of these policies in performance, action and self-conduct. This position reports to the CFO.

 

Tasks/Essential Functions:

  • Maintain high performance levels of IT infrastructure including, on-site systems & servers, campus network, 3rd party hosted servers and storage, all in a hybrid Microsoft/Apple environment
  • Forecast requirements and implement technology solutions with support for requirements
  • Maintain effective system of backup and recovery of infrastructure
  • Develop and maintain documentation on systems and controls
  • Work with internal clients to coordinate support of technology including, but not limited to door access controls, video security systems, SmartBoards, VoIP phones, and AppleTV
  • Work with CFO to prepare and manage annual IT budget
  • Manage Information Technology Team

 

 

Qualifications:

  • Expertise in Microsoft Operating Systems, including Windows Server
  • Expertise in Microsoft Active Directory, including Group Policy and PowerShell
  • Expertise in Office 365 Suite including Exchange
  • Expertise in Mac Operating Systems & Applications including Casper Suite
  • Expertise in server virtualization
  • Expertise in networking skills including DHCP, DNS, network routing and switching protocols.
  • Expertise with NAS and SAN technologies
  • Expertise with Cloud based and local backup and recovery software and methods
  • Expertise with systems monitoring tools
  • Experience in project management

Education and Personal Attributes

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field
  • Technical certificates from Apple, Microsoft, Cisco, preferred
  • Position requires 5 - 10 years of progressively responsible experience with minimum 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of procedures related to systems installation, operation, and maintenance
  • Ability to research, prepare, and present recommendations to leadership for improvement and/or replacement systems
  • Ability to evaluate performance and implement changes
  • Ability to exercise judgment and discretion overseeing network
  • Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet objectives
