Description of Work

This position is responsible for all information technology operations, project management, and managing of the technology budget and expenditures throughout the College of Business (CoB). This includes ensuring an outstanding level of IT customer service by supervising IT support staff to provide support to students, faculty, and staff in Howard L. Hawks Hall. Directly manages two Assistant Directors. Responsible for leading CoB in engaging in proactive planning, support and organizing all IT efforts. Responsible for meeting the changing technology needs of CoB and its staff, faculty, and students. In addition this position has a dual reporting relationship with the Central IT group and works to assist with the collaborative efforts of all campus IT initiatives.

Minimum Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or related field plus 4 years of managerial/leadership experience that includes supervisory experience required; equivalent education/experience considered. Must have project management experience. Working knowledge of the following necessary: Windows Operating Systems, Active Directory, Microsoft Office, PC deployment, General Antivirus management, Remote User Networking, SAP, Outlook email and Antivirus Solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in a related field preferred. Customer service experience desirable. Technical support experience in higher education helpful. Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or other technical certifications desirable.
