GOA is looking for a Director of Professional Learning to help lead one of the organization’s primary strategic thrusts; to conceive, design, implement, and lead an international professional learning program through relationships, product and program management, creativity, and thought leadership.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director, the Director of Professional Learning and Strategic Partnerships is responsible for Global Online Academy’s professional learning portfolio comprising courses, programs, events, credentialing, webinars, and partnerships. S/he ensures that GOA professional learning programs are aligned with our vision for teaching and learning; sets the highest quality standards; and manages one direct report, the Professional Learning Experience Coordinator.

This is a leadership position that is expected to contribute to GOA’s vision of a future where all students can acquire and practice modern learning skills to be empathic global citizens.

What you will do

  • Contribute significantly to the GOA vision as part of the leadership team, will work closely with the Executive Director and Director of Teaching and Learning to contribute to and implement the professional learning strategy
  • Lead projects from market research to strategy to financial modeling to architecture to marketing to delivery to evaluation
  • Create, manage, and cultivate direct relationships with key partners
  • Lead the budgeting process for the professional learning program and initiatives
  • Develop marketing communications for professional learning program as a whole, as well as for individual components
  • Provide visible leadership at conferences and events
  • Expand and scale impact and reach of professional learning through strategic partnerships
  • Visit partner schools and present at conferences

Qualifications

  • Minimum of Master's degree is required
  • At least 4 years of related experience in education
  • Superb communicator
  • Highly motivated, collaborative individual with the ability to manage a large number of professional relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Demonstrate relentless pursuit of the highest quality professional learning around leading practices for blended and online education
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and comfort with ambiguity and a fast-paced work environment
  • Strong business and financial acumen, as well as superior strategic, analytical, problem solving and financial modeling skills
  • Experience in instructional coaching and improvement  
  • Exceptional organizational, prioritization and time management skills, with the ability to execute against multiple, high-priority projects in a timely manner
  • Experience administering and using cloud-based learning management systems (virtual learning environments) with advanced data analytics to monitor performance and learning outcomes
  • Knowledge of or experience in CRM system(s)
  • Willingness to travel
