Ovilla Christian School is a college preparatory learning community developing servant leaders who love God and love people. We are a PK-12 coeducational day school accredited by ACSI and AdvancEd celebrating our 25th anniversary. Ovilla Christian School is a ministry of Ovilla Road Baptist Church. Approximately 315 students are enrolled in the school, with twenty-seven candidates for graduation in the spring of 2017.

Ovilla Christian School’s facilities include wireless campus-wide, two gymnasium spaces, fine arts rooms, science labs, library, a makerspace, and a multi-purpose great room. We are located on approximately 60 acres of debt-free land.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a multi-department administrative leader and part-time teacher responsible for planning, instructing, supporting, managing, and implementing the STEM programs within a PK through grade 12 curriculum.  

Responsibilities:

  • Leadership of STEM education programs under the direction of the Dean of Academics

  • Oversee and develop STEM curriculum and collaborate with leadership regarding progress of students  

  • Oversee quality of STEM instruction and classroom environments

  • Part-time teaching responsibilities in area of expertise for math or science

  • Monitor school infrastructure systems, processes, and student technology integrationand collaborate with leadership regarding ongoing improvements

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in science-, math-, technology-, or education-related field;  Master’s degree highly preferred

  • Teaching certificate recognized by ACSI and AdvancEd

  • 5 years experience in an education environment

  • 5 years experience working with STEM programs

  • Christian with an active faith, involved in a mainstream Christian church
