The White Mountain School seeks a Director of Technology to begin duties July 1, 2016. The Director of Technology oversees all information technology related functions at the School, both academic and administrative. The Director works closely with teachers and academic administrators to identify new technology for implementation into the academic program.

Founded in 1886, The White Mountain School is a boarding school (grades 9-12) located in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire. Essential duties and responsibilities:

Provide IT support for students, faculty, administrators and staff
Assist faculty in assessing information technology needs/requirements in classrooms
Proactively works with teachers, The Director of Student Inquiry and Research, and the Academic Dean to implement technology in the classroom facilitating our focus on authentic inquiry
Provide IT oversight and maintenance for internal network and software and third-party, cloud-based services such as Blackbaud
Oversee printing, server, wireless, and other network resources
Oversee telephone services and manage phone systems
Manage IT inventory of all school-owned or leased equipment
Develop and administer Information Technology budget in cooperation with the Chief Financial Officer
Develop and implement policies and procedures to safeguard the integrity and security of computer data
Participate in varied aspects of School life, potentially including teaching and afternoon activities
The ideal candidate will be comfortable maintaining a technology infrastructure and excited about supporting teachers and students engaged in authentic inquiry through innovative technology solutions. Residential experience and teaching/coaching experience strongly desired.
