Good Shepherd Episcopal School seeks a Director of Technology to oversee the technology department and manage and supervise a variety of responsibilities. This leader will update and implement the technology strategic plan as well as lead the tech team in vision, pedagogy, professionalism, and project management. He or she will update the technology replacement plan on a yearly basis, facilitate innovation in learning through educational technology, recognize the need for improvements in the school’s infrastructure, communicate regularly with the internal and external school community, and stay abreast of changes in educational technology.

The Director of Technology will understand the financial aspects of his or her division. This individual will lead the technology budgeting process, develop requests for technology proposals, supervise the purchasing decisions for hardware and software, and ensure resources for instructional technology as well as infrastructure maintenance are procured. In addition, the director ensures that licensure laws are enforced, encourages innovation, develops partnerships with universities, foundations, and corporations, and supports the educational technology plan.

Candidates should hold an advanced degree in educational technology or educational leadership and have a minimum of 5 years of classroom experience. The applicants should have excellent leadership, organizational management, interpersonal, and communication skills. They must work collaboratively with the technology team, colleagues, and supervisors, manage school dynamics effectively, and lead others to do the same. In addition, candidates should work independently in a fast-paced dynamic setting, prioritize tasks, and respond promptly to time- sensitive issues.
