Director of Technology

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:

Lead MCS in a strategic vision for technology, manage operational execution and develop, implement, and overseeing the school’s information technology resources to promote the school mission:

The mission of Madison Christian School is to partner with parents and churches to lead students toward God, scripturally educating the whole person spiritually, academically, emotionally, socially and physically to become strong Christian leaders.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

• Lead strategic planning in technology to support the mission, core operations and support functions of school
• Partner with senior staff on defining progressive application of technology within the Christian educational context
• Develop capital and operational technology budgets and manage within defined parameters
• Assess ongoing technology use, design efficiencies, and identify pertinent emerging technologies
• Design, integrate and deploy new technology systems and equipment (both instructional and other)
• Develop and manage and report use of technology with regard to implementation of strategic planning.
• Develop and manage a technology budget that includes both school and auxiliary funds.
• Establish and oversee technology maintenance, processes and support to required functionality and service levels (includes wired and wireless infrastructure, network servers, hardware, software, and all other technology applications)
• Oversee telecommunications, website, internet connectivity, wireless access, network, software, hardware, email system, databases, active directories
• Manage information architecture and security
• Prepare and implement disaster recovery plan
• Maintains an accurate inventory of all technology on the MCS campus?
• Other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Required:?

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or related field
• 4+ years of varied information technology experience?
• 2+ years of supervisory/project management experience

EQUIPMENT AND MATERIALS USED:

• Computer with Internet and network connectivity
• Servers and Network tools

WORKING CONDITIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• School offices, workrooms, network closets, server rooms and classrooms

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS;

• Sufficient mobility for hardware and equipment installation and support
• Sufficient eyesight to manage daily tasks
