The "Educational Technologist" teaches technology, computer programming, engineering design, maker, and digital literacy skills as a critical component of the k-12 programming. The "Educational Technologist" collaborates with faculty to design and coordinate interdisciplinary science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics (STEAM) activities to promote high-tech learning.

Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

- K-12 technology classes with a focus on technology concepts and operations, programming and computing, engineering design, making and digital literacy.

- Lead innovative curricular design to leverage technology and utilize the new STEAM lab.

- Define and develop the role of technology in the classroom with the academic administration as it promotes and supports the mission of the school and strategic plan.

- Model effective uses of current and new instructional technology inside and outside the classroom for teachers and students.

- Work with teachers to determine what technologies to use, train them to use these tools, and plan how to incorporate them effectively into their lessons. Encourage independent and creative use of technology.

- Assist the operations department in providing tech support to faculty and staff.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Undergraduate degree in appropriate field

· Minimum 5 years experience teaching technology

· Prior experience in a school setting is strongly preferred

· Meets all mandated health requirements

· Documentation of a clear criminal record - fingerprinting on file

· Complies with drug-free workplace rules and Board policies
