POSITION SUMMARY
Westmark School is currently seeking an Educational Technology Coordinator. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge base in the design and integration of effective, appropriate and innovative technologies to support and enhance the delivery of curriculum to students with learning differences. In collaboration with the Curriculum Team, this position will be responsible for developing and delivering cohesive Educational Technology initiatives that align with the mission of the school and the needs of Westmark students in grades 2-12.  

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • In partnership with the Curriculum Team, design, recommend and continually evaluate a comprehensive technology plan that enhances teaching and learning for students with learning differences within distance learning and in-person instructional models.

  • Collaborate with the Curriculum Team, Division Directors, and faculty to deploy and integrate appropriate technology applications across the School.

  • Support Educational Technology use through daily advising, collaborating, and training of faculty in the use of emerging technology applications. Develop, coordinate, and facilitate workshops and classes to faculty on instructional applications.

  • Evaluate the effectiveness, innovation and sustainability of current and future uses of Educational Technology for students with learning differences across grades 2-12.

  • Function as a liaison with Division Directors, Curriculum Team and IT Department to ensure seamless coordination, and sustainability of technology tools that support the curriculum, instruction, and assessment.

  • Monitor and help prevent infrastructure failures through data-driven processes.

  • Assist with device distribution, training, and year-end collections.

  • Provide support for educational technology devices, systems, and content.

  • Annually assess and update the Acceptable Use Policies. Promote continued development and use of the School’s AUP, digital citizenship program, and current technology standards.

  • Additional duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, information technology, educational technology, or related field preferred. Master’s degree desirable.

  • Minimum of 5 years of related school technology experience required.

  • Strong interest and experience in pedagogy and innovation.

  • Current and in-depth knowledge of instructional technology hardware, software, and related tools.

  • Experience working with diverse learners.

  • Experience working with faculty in all disciplines to identify instructional needs to enhance student learning and outcomes.

  • Exceptional project management and execution skills.

  • Adherence to the highest level of professionalism by demonstrating honest, integrity and maturity.

  • Expertise in Apple hardware, macOS, PC, iPadOS software, G Suite for Education.

  • Experience with administrative and academic database systems. Experience with Blackbaud and PowerSchool preferred.

  • Ability to interface and maintain effective relationships with students, faculty, administrators, and parents/guardians.
