Key responsibilities include:

Teaching of basic ICT and iPad skills.
Involvement in the School’s Project Based Learning Programme.
Assistance with the planning and rollout of the robotics and coding curriculum.
Control and issuing of iPad banks.
Training, mentoring and coaching of staff in the meaningful integration of technology.
Control and record-keeping of IT equipment as well as the compilation and control of IT budgets.
Assistance with planning of Innovative Educational Technology initiatives.
The incumbent will work closely with the Director of Educational Technology, as well as the School’s management team in order to streamline policies, platforms and skills across the campus.
Experience and Skills required:

Experience in the teaching of basic IT and tablet skills to Junior and Senior Preparatory students.
The willingness to coach staff both in a one-to-one environment, as well as in plenary sessions.
The ability to enthuse both staff and students about the potential technology holds as a catalyst for pedagogical transformation.
A commitment to obtaining Google Certified Educator Level 1 and 2 certifications within one calendar year of commencement.
A commitment towards completing an ICDL iPad qualification.
The ability to work closely with the management team, service providers and the IT support team.
Experience in managing device banks and basic hardware repair.
Enthusiasm regarding PBL and future-focussed education.
The willingness to initiate, be involved with and take charge of the Genius Club, the Media Club and various other related activities.
The ability to problem-solve, to think innovatively and the willingness to learn new skills.
