Supporting faculty in the evaluation, selection, and use of various instructional technology tools and media services, including distance education, technologies, lecture capture, etc. Promoting the use of effective technology tools to enhance teaching, research, and educational projects. 

Networking with IT professional outside NCF and monitoring trends and developments in IT across disciplines and academia more generally and evaluating their suitability for New College's program. Evaluating the impact of changing technology solutions on current and future ETS needs. 

Creates and organizes workshops or lecture and training series to inform faculty, staff, and students on trends in instructional technology, methods for effective use of technology in teach, and use of specialized tools. 

Oversees Educational Technology Services and the Academic Resource Center and supervises USPS staff. Administers Canvas (Instructure), campus learning management system, and Moodle. Works with individual faculty to understand the teaching/learning environment, reviews technological options related to teaching needs, collaborates with faculty to identify technologies that will enhance learning, and trains faculty to use new technology. 

Provides consulting, technical assistance and training to faculty, students and staff working on instructional or research-related technology projects 
Develops and maintains relationships with Library staff, academic divisions or disciplinary units and with technology service providers throughout NCF to explore new hardware and software tools, obtain resources, and advocate appropriate technology responses to faculty and student needs. 

Manages Educational Technology Services budget, creates budget requests. 

Serves as liaison to statewide advisory boards and committees (e.g. Florida Virtual Campus)  

Bachelors degree and 2 years relevant experience; or 4 years relevant experience.  
Advanced degree in relevant field (e.g. Instructional Design); and two years experience in the design and development of technology-based instructional materials.
