The Education Technology Specialist supports the development and improvement of the integration of technology at Yeshiva University High School for Boys (MTA).  Reports directly to the Director of Operations and Technology.

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Serve as “first responder” to tech support requests, which arrive by email, phone and in person. Diagnose the request and handle directly, or refer to other department members when necessary

  • Provide help desk support for students, faculty, and staff

  • Manage and maintain A/V setups in meeting spaces

  • Maintain and troubleshoot classroom A/V equipment (projectors,  computers, etc)

  • Use and troubleshooting of performance equipment such as microphones, sound systems, and projectors

  • Installation, troubleshooting of problems with computers, software, network, and peripheral equipment

  • Maintain equipment for loan (inventory, repair, distribution, and returns)

  • Assist faculty with setup and troubleshooting of classroom technology implementation

  • Plan and execute maintenance of faculty laptops/desktops (updates, new hardware, backups)

  • Maintain and troubleshoot copier/printers

  • Provide hardware and software support for interactive touch screen displays in classrooms

  • Arrange for equipment repair (computers, printers, etc.) as needed

  • Manage inventory of technology hardware

QUALIFICATIONS

Experience and Educational Background:

  • 4-year college degree in technology related field or equivalent work experience

  • Patience and good interpersonal skills

  • Be open to learning as they work

  • Comfort working independently and collaboratively

  • Ability to be flexible with weekly schedule on occasion, which may include working evenings and/or weekends

  • Basic familiarity with Active Directory and GAFE
