Job Description:

 

  • Act as an inspirational leader for 21st century education and technology integration.
  • Work with the Director of Information Technology, Academic Technology Coordinator and Curriculum Coordinators in advancing the mission of technology integration.
  • Stay current on research regarding teaching, learning and assessment with technology.
  • Assist teachers in developing, documenting, and mapping curriculum through the Understanding by Design framework.
  • Overseeing and developing the Pre-K through 5 technology, computer science, and STEAM curriculum to support Trevor’s overall mission.
  • Offering administrators, faculty members and students professional development via workshops and one-to-one training.
  • Working with faculty members and students to effectively, seamlessly and appropriately integrate technology throughout the school.
  • Assisting with the maintenance and development of Trevor’s existing educational technology initiatives and tools (e.g. Portal, Google Drive, Atlas).
  • Educating students and parents about the evolving uses of technology.
  • Oversee the Chromebook and iPad initiatives in the Lower School. Provide faculty and student training to ensure safe/secure/effective use of Chromebooks.
  • Work with the Marketing and Communications Department on managing and contributing to Social Media Accounts

 

The Educational Technology Specialist reports to the Academic Technology Coordinator and is a 12-month position.

 

Qualifications:

 

Master’s degree in educational technology or related field preferred

3 -5 years of K-5 school experience preferred
