Belmont Oaks Academy is searching for an innovative person to help create a new position at the school that will provide technology support to our K – 5 classrooms. The position is part-time with the hours of 7:30am to 12:30pm 5 days a week, however the hours and days are negotiable. 

Our school is located in Belmont on the San Francisco Peninsula. 

The job duties as we see them are:

  • The EdTech Support Technician will provide direct end-user support for the School (teachers, staff and students). 

  • Previous experience working in a school setting is preferred but not required. 

  • The Technician will:

    • Support users with Google Apps for Education, Apple Education products and other academic online systems/apps.

    • Troubleshoot classroom AV technology issues.

    • Diagnose and recommend repairs as needed for hardware and software problems (primarily for Macbooks and iPads).

    • Assist in network connection problems.

    • Create and update online support tips, directions, tutorials, and documentation.

    • Provides assistance in the selection, ordering, receiving, and installing new equipment and software.

    • Foster a culture of empowered self-help and troubleshooting by providing training to teachers in computer competencies.

    • Stay current with emerging trends and best practices in educational technology.
