The Charles A. Rush Learning Center / N.E. Miles Library at Birmingham-Southern College invites applications for a full-time Electronic Systems and Research Librarian. This is a one-year faculty (non-tenure track) position to begin June 1, 2018.

The successful candidate will: manage the integrated library system, OCLC Worldshare Management System (WMS), the EBSCO Discovery System, the proxy server the Open URL resolver database configurations and lists; e-journals lists; the LibGuides/LibAnswers system; and troubleshoot problems and keep the Library staff up to date on upcoming changes for all systems.

 

Requirements

Eligible candidates must have received their MLIS/MLS from ALA-accredited program by date of appointment; strong interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills. Relevant experience in an academic setting or experience with electronic library systems, as well as technology-assisted delivery of information services, are preferred.
