The Events Support Technician provides technical expertise and hands-on support for the school’s assemblies, performances, athletics broadcasts, and community events. This role ensures high-quality audio/visual production for live and streamed events, delivers excellent customer service to students, faculty, alumni, and parents, and helps maintain the reliability of campus A/V systems. The position requires flexibility for evening and weekend work in alignment with the school’s event calendar.

Key responsibilities: Provide live audio, lighting, video, and streaming support for weekly assemblies, student performances, and athletics broadcasts, as well as streaming and recording support for academic events, arts productions, and other campus events; Manage A/V needs for student- and parent- facing events, including orientations and registration days, admissions events, meetings, celebrations, academic symposiums, speeches, and events, and on-campus and local alumni, trustee, and development events; Operate and maintain theater sound, lighting, and projection systems in support of school arts programming; Coordinate with event organizers, coaches, and teaching faculty to ensure technical needs are met. Provides recording support in classrooms, as needed, to enhance feedback loop of teaching instruction.

Required Qualifications: Associate degree or equivalent technical training in audio/visual technology, live event production, or related field; 2+ years’ experience providing A/V support for live events, including sound, lighting, and streaming; Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to adapt quickly in live-event situations; Excellent communication and customer service skills and Availability to work nights, weekends, and flexible hours in line with the academic calendar.
