Position Summary 

Provides leadership in the assessment of academic administrative software solutions including the planning and implementation of new or enhanced software solutions, and upgrade strategies for School administrative technologies. 

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Understands the administrative and business process needs of academic departments and administrative units and develops and implements appropriate information technology solutions to address the needs.
  • Develops proposals and a roadmap for the implementation of effective technology solutions to consolidate various shadow systems and departmental databases, understanding the needs, peer solutions and market place analysis.
  • Oversees vendor review process, proposal development, presentation to department heads, executives and steering committees to ensure appropriate fit for School administrative needs.
  • Oversees software implementation and enhancement requests process, software problem resolution, and the implementation of user training initiatives.
  • Directs Administrative Services Department staff in implementing and supporting various solutions including Salesforce, EMS, course and curriculum planning tools, faculty management, and other auxiliary databases servicing School administrative needs.
  • Coordinates with the Museum and Information Services departments in assessment, implementation and upgrade strategies for administrative technology shared between the School and Museum.
  • Represents the School on various committees providing expertise in strategic planning and technology support for academic, administrative and operations initiatives.
  • Develops and maintains personal and staff functional and technical expertise with deployed administrative software solutions.

Qualifications

  • A Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred
  • 5-8 years proven leadership and management experience in higher education administration preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a multitasking management environment
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and manage high performing teams
  • Excellent oral and written skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a variety of audiences including faculty, staff, students and external constituents
