Part-time (50%) Systems Administrator reports to the Director of Information Technology
Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation as it relates to server and network topology, equipment and configurations
  • Maintain active directory, user accounts, email, security groups and systems access
  • Support of Google Apps for Education users, cloud and other web-based technology and services and associated end-user management
  • Install, maintain and troubleshoot Apple and Microsoft based hardware and software in a networked environment
  • Maintain an accurate and up-to-date inventory of all network, telecom, security, and backup-related hardware
  • Assist Tech Department with delivering internal training, integration support, and help desk support
  • Performance of maintenance and repair of PC-based computers, Apple computers, iPad, other devices peripherals
  • Maintain and troubleshoot a variety of interactive and display technologies
  • Participate in the deployment, maintenance and reclaiming of end-user workstations and peripheral devices
  • Engage in regular professional development that supports department goals
Skills and Experience:
  • Mac OS X and Windows skills
  • Current, in-depth knowledge of network architecture, telecommunications, wireless, mobile and cloud technologies
  • Experience with Audio & Visual Systems
  • Experience in supporting a mixed platform environment (Mac OS X, Windows, Linux)
  • Experience in an educational environment preferred
