Mount Saint Mary Academy, a Catholic independent high school in Watchung, NJ is seeking a Help Desk Support Analyst. This is an entry level position on a small 4-person technology team. Both college graduates and technical school graduates will be considered. Stellar communication and customer service skills are essential for this role. Equally important are the technical skills necessary to support over 450 Windows desktops and laptops PCs as well as other network and classroom equipment. The school has been operating with a one to one laptop program since 2006 and is heavily invested in Office 365 for Education.

Reporting to the Director of Technology, the Help Desk Support Analyst will assist in maintaining and supporting the school's network infrastructure, servers and instructional technology systems, and provides front line support for desktop hardware and software issues. Responsibilities include immediate response to Help Desk tickets and phone calls from faculty and staff; managing the student loaner pool and scheduling repairs of all laptops, performing daily network checklist, performing software updates on campus computers and servers, maintaining all campus printers and other miscellaneous hardware in the school, updating written procedures and workflows, and assisting with various types of student and faculty/staff technical training.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, a friendly presence, helpful attitude and the ability to well with students and adults of varying technical skills. Strong attention to detail and strong organization skills are a must. Candidates should be able to multi-task efficiently, be a self-starter, and be able to work with little direction or supervision. They must be willing to invest personal time in ongoing training and attainment of technical certifications and knowledge.

Technical skills required include the ability to support users in Windows environment, basic network infrastructure knowledge and strong Microsoft Office skills. Experience using PC imaging software and/or experience with Office 365 for Education is a plus. Prior technical work experience desired, but not mandatory. Candidate must be able to start work at 7:15 a.m. on school days. This position requires some work during school holidays and occasional overtime. This is a full-time, 12-month position.
