Help Desk Support Coordinator

Mayfield Junior School is seeking an entry-level support professional with a passion for education and working with students, faculty and staff. The Help Desk Support Coordinator is a member of the Technology Department and reports to the Director of IT. The primary responsibility of the position is to provide technical support to about 500 students and 100 faculty and staff, support technology setups for school events, and help maintain our cloud services.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Administer the school’s help desk system
  • Provide tier 1 technical support to students, faculty, and staff
  • Maintain all school-owned devices (MacOS, iPadOS, tvOS) and diagnose for repair
  • Execute and support technology setups for school events
  • Manage the department’s asset management system
  • Provide tier 1 technical support for network copiers and printers
  • Install and maintain in-classroom technology, including Apple TVs
  • Work with Performing Arts Department to provide tech support for performances
  • Organize department procedures and documentation
  • Work with Marketing and IT Departments on occasional videography projects
  • Work closely with IT staff to ensure school technology systems are operating effectively
  • Research and evaluate new technologies
  • Provide occasional training to students, staff, and parents
  • Contribute to team effort by assisting in related tasks as needed

  • Able to prioritize work and to perform multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to deadlines 
  • Adept at establishing rapport with all members of the community and their varying technology proficiencies
  • Maintain an open, approachable, positive attitude, providing excellent customer service at all times
  • Adaptable; can work independently and with a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong work ethic and professional demeanor; capable of handling stressful situations
  • Minimum of (1) year experience in an IT support or coordinator role
  • Experience working at a school a plus
  • Experience with sound and lighting plus
  • Experience with JAMF, Azure, G-Suite, Apple Remote Desktop, Microsoft Remote Desktop, Blackbaud a plus
  • Apple or JAMF certifications a plus
