Mount Pisgah Christian School (MPCS) has commenced a search for a Help Desk Technician. This position will be a full-time position that will offer an opportunity to grow technical problem solving skills by providing hands-on desktop support for the school’s faculty and staff.

The successful candidate will be a team player with a positive attitude regarding resolving issues and providing support to others. Ideally, the candidate will be blessed with high energy, a warm, engaged collaborative style, and a sense of humor. A passion for learning is a must. The position will report to the Director of Technology.

The Help Desk Technician will:

Utilize and maintain the helpdesk tracking software
Provide helpdesk support and resolve problems to the end user's satisfaction
Monitor and respond quickly and effectively to requests received through the IT helpdesk
Modify configurations, utilities, software default settings, etc. for the local workstation
Assist with onboarding of new users
Install, test and configure new workstations, peripheral equipment and software
Maintain inventory of all equipment, software and software licenses
Manage PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware, images and software
Creating and maintaining users and computers within Active Directory
Perform timely workstation hardware and software upgrades as required
Document internal procedures

Position requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business or related field
2 years of relevant technical experience
Knowledge of Windows and/or Mac hardware and software
Good verbal, written & interpersonal communication skills
Organization skills to read and create documentation
Excellent analytical skills and problem solving abilities
