POSITION SUMMARY:   The Information Systems Assistant is responsible for supporting the computer and technology areas of CCDS.  This person is often the first level of support for software and hardware problems. 

 

 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Assists with maintaining and troubleshooting technology related hardware and infrastructure.  This includes, but is not necessarily limited to, computers, monitors, printers, projectors, and smart boards.
  2. Assists with maintaining and troubleshooting computer operating systems and end user software.
  3. Assists with setup and installation of new computer systems and peripherals.
  4. Responsible for maintaining an accurate information systems equipment inventory.
  5. Assists with the production and distribution of staff, faculty and student ID cards.
  6. Provide technology help and support for staff and faculty as required.
  7. Assist visitors with any connectivity or computer display needs.
  8. Meet regularly with Information Systems manager and other Information Systems’ personnel as required.

 

 

OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES:  Performs similar job related duties as assigned.

 

 

eDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS DESIRED:

  1. Minimum two years of college or technical school.
  2. Experience in an educational setting.
  3. Experience with PC, PC Tablets, Mac and iPad platforms.
  4. Experience with PC, PC Tablets, Mac and iPad troubleshooting and repair.
  5. Experience with setup and configuration of PC, PC Tablets, Mac, and iPads.
  6. Experience with Office 365, Google Drive, and Cloud Services.
  7. Ability to work well in “one-to-one” computer support situations.
  8. Physically fit and able to move computer systems and peripherals up to 50 pounds.
