Primary Responsibility: 
Provide support, maintenance, and vision within and between the data systems at Hamlin.
Ensure an excellent user experience for Hamlin constituents by assessing user needs and adjusting content as needed.
 
Regular Work Schedule: Full time: 12 Months

Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  1. Serve as primary contact for Hamlin’s various information systems.  
    Including Blackbaud (K-12, Financial Edge, Raiser’s Edge), Ravenna, Connect 5, FACTS

 

  1. Manage & maintain school-wide student system accounts, these include (but are not limited to): Google Apps for Education, Student Apple IDs, Amazon, Dreambox, MotionMath, Lexia, RAZ Kids, Code.Org
     
  2. Support the development office with management of external website design (i.e. campaign micro-sites and event and auction sales sites).
     
  3. Work in coordination with Hamlin employees to train, manage and maintain all constituent databases (i.e. alumnae, board of trustees, current parents, employees, and students,) and Single Sign On plug-ins.
    • Maintain & monitor student data in Blackbaud K-12 and manage the data flow between Hamlin systems (Blackbaud and Ravenna).
    • Define standard practice and oversee flow of information between Hamlin’s various constituent management systems
  1. Support Hamlin staff in maintaining the integrity of Hamlin.org and HamliNet using the content management system, HTML, and CSS as needed.
    • Support creation of new Hamlin.org web pages as needed
    • Support Communications Manager through bi-annually reviews and updating Hamlin.org images
    • Manage and maintain password-protected areas
    • Assign proper website permissions and roles to faculty and staff
    • Configure HamliNet settings, online classes, academic schedules, learning profiles, official notes and e-portfolios
    • Maintain Resource Board in conjunction with Communications Manager
    • Collect and analyze user needs, interaction, and feedback
    • Based on user needs analysis, develop recommendations and implement updates
  1. Research, recommend and implement technology systems to support Hamlin administration.
    • Install, configure, and help maintain school-wide technology systems.
    • Oversee vendor relationships
    • Ensure the ongoing maintenance, back-up, and repair of school’s software modules
    • Stay current on trends in K-12 administrative and educational technology systems
       
  2. In coordination with the technology team, conceptualize and roll out annual training on the Blackbaud K-12 system.
    • Create unique training programs to meet the needs of the various Hamlin departments, including, but not limited to: teachers, division heads, Extended Day staff, office staff and athletics director.
    • Annually train and re-train faculty, staff, parents and students on HamliNet use, upgrades, changes and best practices.
    • Create, annually update and distribute training videos on the basics of using the BlackBaud systems
  1. Contribute to the ongoing dialogue regarding educational technology and technology trends while supporting and coaching Hamlin faculty in improving teaching & learning through the thoughtful use of technology.
  1. Contribute to the conversation regarding budget planning for the school’s IT needs.
     
  2. Support the Information Technology Manager with the maintenance of school hardware.
