Status:                      Full-Time, Independent Contractor
Term:                        9 months, October 2017-June 2018, with prospect of full-time employment to follow

Pay:                           Depends on experience
Work Hours:           Monday – Friday, generally 7:30 a.m. – 4 p.m.

 

Job Responsibilities:

·       Troubleshoot, diagnose and resolve hardware, software and peripheral malfunctions.

·       Respond to “emergency” tech support requests.

·       Provide technical training and assistance to faculty and students concerning the operation of computer hardware, software and peripherals. Assist in creating documentation for users.

·       Communicate with all levels of the organization and with various outside vendors.

·       Perform all duties in a customer service-oriented manner, adhering to all school and applicable safety regulations, policies and procedures.

·       Maintain knowledge of technological advances in computer hardware and software.

·       Maintain a current and accurate computer equipment database.

·       Manage inventory levels of computer supplies and equipment.

·       Provide recommendations on Mac/PC acquisitions and peripherals.

·       Perform other duties as assigned by the information systems network supervisor regarding various requests by students, parents and faculty. 

·       Must be able to carry up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
  • Four or more years of professional Information Technology experience.
  • Four or more years of software development, including analysis, design, development, application deployment, support and optimization for enterprise systems and technologies.
  • Three or more years of application experience.

Desired:

  • Experienced and therefore proficient in: server, network and hosting environments; User interfaces and user experiences; Quality assurance; Security concerns throughout programs; and Understands both customer and business needs.
  • Experience with: Installing, configuring, modifying and maintaining computer hardware, software and peripherals including: Google apps and administration, Schoology, Blackbaud, Squarespace/Ecommerce, Office 365, Phone system, Network Multi-function printers;
  • Experience with: Active Directory Group Policy Management; Asset management and IT service management architecture experience; and reating solutions for: configuration management, IT asset management, service management, workflows and automation, ITIL automation.
