St. Anselm's Abbey School is seeking an Information Technology Administrator.  A description of the duties, the system characteristics, working conditions and the knowledge and skills required follow:
 
General Duties
Network Administration:
Maintain servers, infrastructure and workstations;
Software Implementation and Maintenance:
Install, troubleshoot and maintain software applications for network, academic and administrative end users;
IT Hardware Implementation and Maintenance:
Install, troubleshoot and maintain IT hardware used by the School;
Oversee the installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of  network infrastructure;
Other Duties, Skills and Abilities:
Advise and assist with the selection of software and hardware for Academic and Administrative uses.
System Characteristics:
Users:  250 students; 70 faculty;
Servers: 2 Virtual Machine Hosts with 9 Virtual Machines; Windows Server 2008
Network Infrastructure: Fiber optic and cable serving 2 buildings
Security Software: Kaspersky, McAfee, Websense, SonicWall
Wireless: 11 wireless access points covering both buildings
Workstations: 60 faculty workstations; 29 student workstations; 30 laptops
Workstation Software: MS Office; Adobe Reader; Citrix ICA client; Kaspersky
Printers: 16 network printers
 Hours and Working Conditions:
ITA is expected to be on campus for regularly scheduled hours;
Expected to work a 40 hour work week with extra hours when needed for emergencies;
Working conditions consist of a general office and electrical equipment environments;
The position is exempt under FLSA and is considered a professional position.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Post-secondary education;
Experience with information technology in a small to middle-sized organizations;
Able to understand and serve the special needs of an school environment;
Able to manage projects and to manage vendors;
Able to troubleshoot technical problems and quickly learn new skills;
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively using all forms of media;
Knowledge of best practices in the field of information technology;
Certifications a plus: (MCSC, CompTIA);
