Connelly School of the Holy Child, a girls’ independent school in the Washington D.C. metro area, is accepting applications for a full time position of Information Technology Help Desk. This position reports to the Director of Technology.

Successful candidates will possess:

  • Knowledge of educational technology integration. Level of comfort and experience learning, using, and teaching technology on both Mac and Windows computers to adults and students.
  • Must be able to work with students and faculty of all skill-levels of technology use. Versatility, collaboration, and openness to innovative technology practices and procedures is essential.
  • Experience in a school environment and relative technology (IT) certifications are a plus.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, presenting a positive, supportive attitude to all constituents
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively work with both
    technical and non-technical colleagues
  • High level of organizational competence
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a small team environment as well as exhibiting a high level of self-motivation when working independently

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Assisting the Director of Technology to administer the school technology infrastructure, which includes maintaining computer workstations and laptops, iPads, Windows servers, school backups, managed wireless access points, networks switches, and firewalls.
  • Assist in administering the school’s Windows Domain infrastructure and Office 365 cloud system.
  • Help to train users on new software and hardware, teachers and students with Office 365.
  • Troubleshoot teachers, staff, and student technical needs, providing them with appropriate solutions and training.
  • Install and configure/upgrade computers to include hardware, software on all school owned computers.
  • Installing, configuring and maintaining classroom and office equipment. Provide technical support (projectors, conference phones, microphones, network access) for off-hours events such as board meetings.
  • Maintaining copiers and printers, changing toner cartridges. Contacting copier machine support provider when problems need to be escalated.
  • Serving as Technical Support ticket coordinator.
  • Performing other duties as assigned by the Head of School.
