Status:  Full time; Three (3) evenings per week (12-8:30 p.m.) and Weekends (Saturday and Sunday 9:00 – 5:30 p.m.)

The Information Technology Specialist supports effective and maximum use of the school’s learning management systems (Blackboard and Canvas) and other school-wide software packages, multimedia, and hardware by: serving as a point of contact for inquiries and requests for assistance;  responding to, researching, trouble-shooting and resolving user issues (requests) via phone, email, in person or remotely.

Qualifications: Associates degree (Bachelor’s degree preferred); 1-3 years of experience in IT technical support (i.e. supporting software applications, help desk experience, or implementing software solutions); strong analytical, problem solving, and technical aptitude skills; ability to trouble-shoot user issues quickly; ability to research and identify the root cause of reported problems; ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and refocus based on changing priorities; strong oral and written communication skills; and excellent customer service skills. Work experience in higher education and with Blackboard and Canvas software preferred.
