Summary:

The Library has an opening for a full-time regular Information Technology Specialist. 

The primary responsibility for this position is to maintain all computer hardware/software within the Library.  Other duties include:

  • Troubleshooting, repairing and maintaining DT Library Lab and all staff computers in the Library building.
  • Providing computer assistance and instruction to JCTC Library patrons.
  • Overseeing the student worker staff that work at the Computer Help Desk in the library.
  • Providing technology support to Library operations, including the Library webpage and online Library resources.
  • Serving on library committees, providing technology advice on library functions.
  • Providing overall assistance to the circulation department of the library.

 

The annual salary for this position is $33,672.

 

Associate’s degree (Computer or related field), and two years related experience or equivalent. Technical expertise with computer software and hardware. Basic research skills. Problem-solving skills. Customer service skills. Ability to work well on a team. Communication skills.
