Devon Preparatory School, a private, Catholic, college preparatory school located in suburban Philadelphia seeks a full-time Information Technology Support Specialist. The IT Support Specialist is primarily responsible for helping our faculty, staff, and students use technology efficiently and effectively. This position will support audiovisual systems in classrooms throughout the school as well as specialized hardware and software used across multiple disciplines. Daily work will consist of:

· Installing and configuring computing hardware (desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile phones, printers, etc.), software, A/V equipment, and network cabling

· Troubleshooting and correcting problems that our customers encounter when using technology

· Training our community in the effective use of the technologies we provide

· Supporting our administration in the use of innovative new educational technologies

· Updating the status of trouble tickets in our help desk system and keeping accurate records of technology inventory

In addition to the day to day technical work, the successful candidate will be expected to actively participate in improving the services offered by the school. This will include assisting with new technology investigations, writing and updating service documentation, proposing and implementing process improvements, and working collaboratively with the teachers and administration.

The successful candidate will have a high degree of comfort with personal technology. This full-time position requires strong communication and organizational skills. The IT Support Specialist will work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and students to meet the needs of Devon Prep as a whole.

A bachelor’s degree, 2+ years of experience providing technology support, and demonstrated technical depth in the following areas are required:

· A/V systems: projection, source devices (Blu-ray players, document cameras, Apple TV), control systems, speakers, amplifiers, and paging systems

· Macintosh support

· Classroom technology design and support

Experience in an academic environment is strongly preferred.
