Trinity Presbyterian School seeks a dynamic and diligent addition to our Technology Department in the role of Technology Support Specialist working within the mission of the school.  Trinity’s mission is “to Glorify God by providing students the highest possible college preparatory education training them in a Biblical world and life view enabling them to serve God in spirit, mind and body.”  Trinity is an Apple Distinguished School with a full 1 to 1 platform in grades 6 through 12 with a developing program in grades K4-5 (Lower School).  Great candidates would balance expert client service with cutting edge technical expertise.  The role would serve as part of a four person team that includes the Director of Technology, Part-time support receptionist, intern and the specialist role. 

Roles for the position would include but are not limited to the following:

  • First response serving students, faculty, staff, and administration with both software and hardware issues on Apple MacBook, iPad, iPod and other devices.  
  • Record, track, and document the help desk request problem-solving process, including all successful and unsuccessful decisions made, and actions taken, through to final resolution.
  • Respond to incoming help requests from users via email and ticket tracking system in a prompt and courteous manner.
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing, upgrading or troubleshooting software, hardware, file backups and network connectivity.
  • Test fixes to ensure problem has been adequately resolved and perform post-resolution follow-ups.
  • Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent future problems.
  • Develop help sheets and frequently asked questions lists for users.
  • May be called on to lead technical training for small groups of end users.
  • 1:1 Maintenance:
    • Assist in preparing all computer images for the following school year.
    • Assist with imaging and cleaning of all student, faculty & staff computers.
    • Assist with collection and distribution of computers to students, faculty & staff.
  • Assist with ensuring that all Mac Labs run efficiently (LS/MS/US).
  • Ensure all MacBooks, iPads, iPods and iMacs are current and updated.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three years of equivalent work experience.
  • Experience deploying computer system images for rapid deployment and system image management.
  • Experience administering computers using remote desktop software, scripts and other related technologies.
  • Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to perform efficiently with little or no supervision.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including strong documentation skills and the ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport building, listening, and questioning skills.
