Required: Bachelor’s degree from four year college or university within area of assigned responsibility required.

Preferred: Master’s degree. Relevant certifications, including but not limited to Project Management Program (PMP); I Tech, preferred.

Experience and Other Skills Required

Five years of experience in programming, system analysis, business requirements, state audit and security requirements, and database principles to include four years of management experience.

Demonstrated supervisory experience.

Experience setting up networks and working groups.

Proficiency in all phases of duties performed.

Demonstrated ability to work with people of varying backgrounds and computer skills.

Strong service ethic.

Demonstrated project management skills.

Proven ability to identify opportunities for improvement and to implement actions plans.

Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

Knowledge of IT support functions and peripheral equipment.

Description of Job Duties

Responsible for developing, implementing and supporting both short and long term information and instructional technology plans.

Provide leadership and oversee the development and implementation of emerging technology solutions utilized by student, staff, and faculty in COEHD.

Oversee work to improve existing systems by reviewing faculty requests for changes, analyzing needs and making recommendations for updates and enhancement.

Provide effective communication and serve as liaison with internal and external partners.

Establish and administer college IT policies and procedures; responsible for auditing information system use for compliance and security.

Exercise independent judgement based on extensive technical or specialized knowledge, experience, and engage in on-going research related to IT solutions.

Provides oversight of existing budget and develops plans for project funding.

Coordinates the development of the IT strategic plan for the college.

Provide oversight for existing budget and develop plans for project funding.

Periodically researches and publicizes emerging educational technologies to faculty and staff.

Assesses effectiveness of implemented technologies to ensure all applicable capabilities are maximized and meeting the needs of faculty and staff.
