About the Position

Reporting to and receiving work lead direction from the Associate Dean of Undergraduate Programs, the Instructional Technology Consultant provides support for effective teaching via use of technology mediated learning tools, and support for technology solutions related to student success in the college.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, educational technology,  communications, or related fields, or similar certified coursework in applicable fields of study

  • Three years of experience supporting information systems and technology

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Experience in Instructional Technology is highly desirable

 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Thorough knowledge of methods, procedures and practices in the area of application technology and the web-based course management tools used by the college

  • Ability to gain knowledge in the use of hardware & software technologies in courses including the campus learning management system, survey tools, add-ons to monitor classroom activities/exams, and other software used in courses

  • Ability to integrate across technologies to build complex systems that support key classroom activities including online proctored exams, data collection, analyses, queries, and web applications, while ensuring that the systems remain accessible to users of all abilities

  • Proficiency in using advanced classroom presentation equipment used by the college

  • Ability to train and coordinate a team of students to provide application level support to faculty, staff and administrators in the College of Business

  • Ability to build, implement, and improve procedures for managing instructional technology related assets
