Position Summary Information

 

Minimum Qualifications

Advanced degree (Master’s or Doctorate) in a teaching or instructional systems design/technology (ISD/IST), curriculum/instructional design, education, or related field.

Experience in instructional design, educational technology, or a related field.

Demonstrated success teaching in higher education to include the utilization of technological tools such as discussion board, grade books, peer review, and more.

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Demonstrated commitment and ability to work with a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and constituents in support of campus and the CAE mission.

Demonstrated excellent verbal, written and interpersonal skills;

Experience in the development and delivery of presentations, workshops, and seminars to faculty.

License/Certification Required

Prefer training with Quality Matters, but may be acquired after hire.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience providing instructional support to faculty, trainers, and/or curriculum developers.

Certification in Quality Matters (reviewer, master reviewer, and/or instructor) or other online course development.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Facilitate online, blended and face-to-face course and program design, development, and revision using research based practices in the field.

Provide training for faculty transitioning to online and blended course delivery.

Consult with faculty on a regular basis in the design and delivery of online courses to support.

Assist in assuring that content, courses, and programs meet accessibility standards, expectations, and best practices.

Oversee the multimedia development for online, hybrid, and flipped courses.

Provide assistance in the support of the Learning Management System (Moodle). This includes answering faculty and student support questions via email, phone, and walk-in, creating support documentation and on-demand training.

Design and deliver workshops on the use of the LMS and integrating other instructional technologies into the system.

Participate in committees and provide service to the departments, colleges, university, and profession.

Be aware of, understand, and follow all university policies.
