Summary

Nashoba Brooks School seeks candidates for the position of instructional technology fellow. The Nashoba Brooks School Fellowship is designed to support the development of future teachers and leaders in education. Nashoba Brooks is committed to using innovative instruction, including school-provided one device per student and design thinking theory, to equip our students with the tools, resources, and skills necessary to be successful in the 21st century. This is an 11-month position, beginning on August 1, 2021. In addition to providing instructional and technology support for teachers, the fellow is responsible for assisting with the leadership of at least one student activity or program. The instructional technology fellow will report to the director of educational technology and innovation.

Specific Responsibilities

  • Collaborate effectively with other members of the IS team and teachers to initiate and support educational technology integration throughout the School.

  • Maintain an awareness of emerging and innovative trends in educational technology and pedagogy.

  • Assist with evaluating, promoting, and using existing and emerging technologies to support the mission of the School, including proposing appropriate acquisitions.

  • Assist in operating and managing the STEAM lab space and equipment.  

  • Assist in the integration of Technology Literacy Standards into classroom curriculum.

  • Assist teachers in developing troubleshooting skills to resolve technical problems independently as needed.

  • Facilitate or assist with student activities or programs.

 Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree required.

  • One to three years of teaching experience with Preschool through Grade 8 students.

  • Strong knowledge of Apple and Chromebook devices.
