The Instructional Technology Specialist will provide assistance and support to faculty and students in the implementation and integration of technology to enhance the Academy’s teaching and learning.

The primary duties and responsibilities of this position include: collaborate with faculty to ensure the responsible and successful integration of technology into the Academy’s curriculum; assist faculty in the design, development and implementation of curriculum projects; assist with the evaluation, selection and installation of classroom technologies and provide support and training to faculty in the effective use of these tools; support faculty in their use of the Academy’s Learning Management System(s) and assist with course site development; create and deliver training programs for faculty in the use of new technologies and innovative curricula, standard applications and hardware; provide support and training for the video capture and editing needs of academic programs; contribute to a library of online and printed resources in support of educational technology; offer encouragement, guidance, and support for the use of multimedia in and out of the classroom; aggressively pursue knowledge and new skills relevant to educational technology; and other duties as assigned.

The successful candidate will possess the following skills and specifications: a Bachelor’s degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience; outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide inspirational support to faculty as they engage with technology in support of teaching and learning; strong customer service orientation; demonstrated proficiency in managing multiple priorities; strong initiative and the ability to be self-directed, resourceful and creative; facility with and interest in the promotion of cooperation and teamwork with department colleagues.
