Job Summary:  The Instructional Technology Specialist is to enrich, encourage, and support the integration of technology in classrooms and across campuses by sharing, training, and assisting with the fostering of skills and knowledge related to the pedagogy of technology integration.  They will help others to understand how meeting the needs of 21st century students by transforming learning through the appropriate use of technology will engage students, provide real world skills and experiences, encourage creative and collaboration skills, improve achievement, and prepare students to thrive in an ever-changing global community.   

Qualifications:Education/Certification:
Bachelor’s Degree required
Valid Texas teaching certificate required
 
Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with classroom technology integration and related pedagogy.
  • Knowledge of classroom related software and hardware systems such as learning management systems (ex: Canvas), Google Apps, creative and productivity software, interactive whiteboards, document cameras, internet browsers, web 2.0 tools, etc.
  • Experience creating and providing professional development and training individually and for groups, and creating documentation and reference resources.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.

Experience:  Three years teaching experience
