Summary

Responsible for the development of an Internet presence for the Law School, including providing page content and providing assistance to faculty, staff, and students in their use of the Web for instruction. This position will provide page development and design for the Law School web site, working directly with program managers to develop and deliver content. Responsible for system administration and maintenance on systems supporting the School's web presence. This position also provides IT support for the faculty, staff, and students, including computer maintenance, instruction, document preparation.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • A working knowledge of HTML and its derivatives and the ability to work in ASP.NET, Cold

  • Fusion, PHP, or other web development technologies. Experience with web content management systems, such as Drupal

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work closely with faculty and staff in a wide range of content areas

  • Must possess the ability to learn new technologies, techniques, and solve problems quickly and completely

  • Proficiency with Windows Active Directory and network technology. Experience with web development tools (e.g. Adobe Flash, Cold Fusion, ASP.NET), experience with multimedia software tools (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator , Premier); proficiency in digitizing text, images, sound and video; ability to setup and use computer peripherals such as scanners and video digitizers. Familiarity with MS SQL and or MYSQL, Linux/Apache, and MS Sharepoint highly desirable as well as Web 2.0 technologies (RSS, Wikis)

  • Evidence of teaching and/or writing experience for user support

 

Required Education and/or Experience
  • Bachelor's degree

  • Three years experience in the development of websites
