Northern State University invites applications for a 12-month, CSA position as an education technology support for Northern State University and the Center for Statewide E-learning end users.  
Qualifications: Minimum qualifications for successful applicants include: 

  • An associate’s degree; preference given to applicants with bachelor’s degree in a related discipline of education technology, instructional technologies, technology applications, information systems or related field. 

  • Demonstrated experience and use of learning management systems;

  • Working knowledge of using web-based authoring and multimedia systems, graphic design software used for creation of interactive materials.  

The position will work both independently and as part of the NSU NET Services and Center for Statewide E-learning teams. Position is located on campus.
Responsibilities: Essential responsibilities of this position include 

  1. Provide secondary support for the learning management system.

  2. Tracks progress of campus level LMS API/LTI integration requests.

  3. Ability to use troubleshooting skills by providing day-to-day support for faculty in the use of instructional software and programs.

  4. Provide Tier 1 and 2 support for end users and escalate issues appropriately; documents resolutions.

  5. Collaborates with other NET Services team members in support of instructional technology needs.

  6. Participates in the evaluation of other instructional technology tools to provide input for use in the LMS.

  7. Effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to interact with end users.

  8. Collaborate with faculty and instructional design personnel for rigorous and relevant course design. Knowledge of course delivery and design is beneficial.

  9. Position may be on-call and required to work weekends, holidays and/or evening.  

  10. Fulfill other duties as assigned by Director of Instructional Design.
