Key tasks to be performed:

  • Maintain a user database
  • Support a range of installed hardware and software
  • Full administration duties on the School servers, including email administration and ensuring that back-ups are done daily.
  • Provide limited instruction/guidance/assistance to end-users on the use of hardware and software platforms in use.
  • Communications – Advise and deal with all aspects of the telephone system, cell phones and data contracts
  • Support all aspects of Multi-function devices as well as stand-alone printers.
  • Liaise with 3rd party vendors/suppliers with regards to services or products
  • Responsible for the Purchasing IT hardware and software and consumables
  • Stock control.

Preferred requirements for the position are:

  • 3 Years previous admin experience, preferably in an IT environment.
  • Experience with basic hardware and software configuration setup.
  • Expertise on Microsoft Applications and Email user setup.
  • Experience with help desk and job card management.
  • Knowledge of networking, bandwidth and Wi-Fi

Preference will be given to candidates with a recognised IT qualification. Accommodation at the School is not offered. Bus transport to the School and a daily meal (lunch) is offered while the School is in progress. As this is an administrative position, the successful candidate will have to make use of own transport when School transport is not offered.
