The IT and Multimedia Specialist acts as a primary IT/AV resource, providing technical support to all administrators, faculty, staff and students.  Reporting to the Director of IT, the IT and Multimedia Specialist is an integral member of the School’s 3 person IT department, assisting in the support and development of the School’s administrative, academic and multimedia technology. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, self-motivated individual with strong customer service skills and the ability to troubleshoot and respond to the needs and abilities of a variety of end users.  The primary job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Helpdesk & IT troubleshooting and support, including in-person, phone and email assistance and communication
  • Providing setup and support for audio and video needs for presentations and events, including recording and editing events on video
  • Flexibility to work after-school and weekend hours as needed for event set up and technical support
  • Assisting faculty, staff,  students and parents with hardware and software issues
  • Google, Active Directory & Blackbaud database organizing - creating & deleting of users
  • Organizing and maintaining classroom and office technology, including setups and moves
  • Maintaining the Active Directory list of users and computers
  • Supporting the School’s phone system - server and frontend assist
  • Maintaining  inventory of tech hardware and software
  • Keep network and storage closets organized, including recycling older tech
  • Support the wireless network, web filter, printers, copiers (Xerox, HP)
  • Installation of tech hardware (smart boards, projectors, network closet items, etc.)
  • Work with third party vendors regarding orders & servicing of Baldwin equipment
  • Responding to emergency after hour situations as needed

Qualifications

  • Experience with Apple OS 10.10 & higher, Windows 7, 8, & 10, Apple iOS, Google, JAMF, Aruba, Barracuda
  • Experience with setting up soundboards and running stage lights a bonus
  • Associate’s degree and a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant technical experience required
  • Ability to work independently and as an effective member of a team
