Primary Objective:
To provide campus wide hardware and software support and implement a high quality secondary program in Secondary Technology.

Key Responsibilities:
Plan for and teach High School Technology classes
Provide hardware and software support to faculty and staff, experience with iPads and interactive white boards desired (Team, SMART, Promethean)
Implement instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences
Provide a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process
Assess the progress of the students and offer assistance when necessary
Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis
Supervise/sponsor co-curricular and/or extra-curricular activities
Observe and collaborate with peers to enhance the instructional environment
Maintain effective and efficient record keeping procedures in RenWeb
Adhere to the bylaws, policies and procedures, and to all laws that govern the school and its actions
Other responsibilities as assigned by administration

Job Requirements

Qualifications:
A bachelor’s degree in Technology/Computer Education or related field, and/or hold CompTIA A+ certification, teaching experience, and an ACSI certificate preferred
Ability to develop rapport with students
Demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skills
Demonstrate computer literacy and proficiency (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email, Internet, presentation software, and online grade book programs). Experience with interactive white board technology is a plus
Embrace a strong commitment to Christian education and academic excellence consistent with the mission of The Kings Academy
Model a consistent daily walk with Jesus Christ, and is a Christian role model in speech, actions, and attitudes, which contributes to the spiritual atmosphere of the school

Secondary responsibilities of this position may include supervising/sponsoring co-curricular activities and maintaining effective record keeping procedures in RenWeb.
Preferred candidates will hold a bachelor’s degree in Technology/Computer Education or a related field, and/or hold CompTIA A+ certification, have teaching experience, and be ACSI certified.
