We are currently seeking to appoint a highly innovated person with suitable qualifications and experience to manage all IT functions at Waterkloof House Preparatory School.

Post Requirements:

A dynamic, enthusiastic, innovative graduate who is up to date with the latest technology trends
3 – 5 Years’ experience in IT Support
IT diploma / certificate (A+; N+). Networking, including LAN, WAN, Wireless, VLAN
Bachelor degree or post-graduate teaching diploma is preferable but not a prerequisite
SACE membership
Proficient in the English language with good report writing skills
Understanding and willingness to use an integrated teaching approach in the classroom
The ability to teach research and referencing skills across all grades
Experience and ability to teach IT to Grade 0 – 7
Experience in teaching/training MS Office and Tablet Skills
Strong organisational and interpersonal skills including desktop support
Knowledge of and experience in the use of a variety of educational programmes, as well as the ability to train staff using different digital tools and resources to enrich learning
Extensive database (Pencilbox) management skills, including changes, reports and updates
Willing to become fully involved in the extra mural programme is a recommendation
Start 01 January 2017
Duties will include:

Preparation, setup and maintenance of learner reports on Pencilbox
Provide training to staff across the IT spectrum which includes hardware and software usage
Submission of Lurits questionnaire to the Department of Labour
Management of the full IT infrastructure at the School including network, hardware and software
Management and preparation of the annual IT budget for the school
Desktop support to all boys and staff
Teach IT to Grade 0 – 7
Installation of suitable APPS for teaching on all tablet devices
IT requirements at events and functions at the school
Troubleshooting of connectivity issues across the network
Participation and overseeing of IT Component of Project Term
Liaison with all IT related service providers
Plan, source and implement upgrades across all hardware in the School.
Full server management and maintenance
Identify and implement IT strategies that will enhance the experience for all the role players
