The successful candidate will have a four-year degree or equivalent with specific IT experience in primary schools where they will have successfully integrated technology into the classroom. He/she will manage our Media Centre – a multi-purpose facility which includes state-of-the-art IT, green screen technology, a multi-purpose teaching venue and a library. The successful candidate must also be willing to undertake duties in the boarding house and be involved in our active extra-mural programme.

Key responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Implementing, training and actively assisting staff in the integration of IT in the classroom across all grades
  • Providing support to staff and children for software and IT systems used within the school, including iOS and Windows platforms, as well as G Suite for Education
  • Teaching digital literacy
  • Teaching coding and robotics
  • Developing and managing the Media Centre as an area of Active Learning
  • Liaising with the combined schools IT department with regard to IT needs at Prep

Requirements include:

  • Suitable professional qualifications
  • Experience with Windows, iOS, Office 365 and G Suite for Education, specifically Google Classroom
  • At least five years’ experience in a prep-school environment where IT was successfully integrated into the classroom
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
  • Being creative and innovative
