Redhill School is looking to appoint a passionate and committed person to fulfil the role as IT Manager who will be responsible and accountable for leading the planning, co-ordinating and maintenance of Information Technology at the Redhill campus.

  • Have strong organizational, communication, interpersonal and computer skills plus excellent implementation ability and the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Have strong knowledge of Financial Budgets.

  • Managing an approved IT budget.

  • Managing Suppliers and Service providers is essential.

  • Be part of the project management team responsible for identifying priorities and thereafter implement strategic solutions on time.

  • Be part of various committees.

  • Procurement of IT equipment.

  • Knowledge of POPI Act Compliance.

  • Managing required structures and systems to drive and manage an educational environment.

  • Apple and Android knowledge is an advantage.

  • Managing required structures of Security and Access Control systems.

  • Managing Insurance claims related to IT.

  • Asset Management of Computer related equipment including sound equipment.

  • Have strong people skills – work efficiently with management, staff, parents and children.

  • Investigate new technologies with the aim of optimising systems.

  • Be accountable for security of data, network access and backup systems.

  • Managing of Photocopiers contracts.

  • Assist with internal IT training.

  • Sound knowledge of the IEB Server is an advantage as well ADAM administrative system, Peopleware and SAGE 300.

  • Managing the internal helpdesk system.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric and Microsoft Certified Professional certification.

  • 5 year’s experience in an IT Management position.

  • Previous experience in an education environment will be an advantage.
