The IT Manager handles completing the requirements placed upon the financial aid office by the federal campus-based programs as well as the overall coordination of other federal and state financial aid programs. The selected candidate will assist the Associate Director with managing the financial aid component of Banner to support administration of financial aid programs and delivery of funds to students. Additional duties will include:
  • Assist the Associate Director and the student employment area with management of Banner components supporting student payroll.

  • Act as primary liaison to the Information Technology Services department for planning, development, testing, maintenance, and implementation of new modules of Banner financial aid system.

  • Coordinate with the Associate Director the automated packaging and assist with setting standards for manual packaging.

  • Develop ad hoc reports related to information or office program management.

  • Supervise various staff members in different processing units.

 
The position requires independent judgment, the ability to define needs, prioritize activities, and identify resources in order to assist our students with the financial resources necessary to obtain their education at Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. The IT Manager interacts with key administrators, faculty, and staff members across campus in order to facilitate the financial aid process within the confines of Federal and State regulations and University policies and procedures.

    • College course work with a concentration in Information Technology (IT), IT Management, or a closely related discipline, as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent:

      3. semester hours or Bachelor’s Degree equals three years.*
