Responsibilities of the IT Manager include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Maintain and support all campus computer technology, including the critical updates of associated hardware and software

  • Working with an on-site technician to perform the setup, configuration and maintenance of technology peripherals such as printers, desktops for computer labs and offices, scanners and other equipment as necessary

  • Propose a yearly Professional Development program for faculty and conduct bi-weekly training of technology integration into educational best practices for teachers; organize department training for supporting staff on a needs basis

  • Oversee all ordering processes of technology equipment and applications for faculty, staff, students and administrators

  • Administer all campus network hardware and software and serve as backup for technician on-site

  • Implement and maintain network security, including the routine backup and safe storage of school data, firewalls and required software to maintain security as well as provide workshops for students and employees regarding network security

  • Responsible for special projects and other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information systems or related field

  • Minimum three years’ professional experience with computers and computer networks in a Windows environment

  • Experience with the implementation and development of open source systems

  • Experience with firewall software, email systems, database management, Office suite applications, SQL, basic programming, academic-related software

  • Ability to work with speed and accuracy

  • Adequate interpersonal, organizational and time-management skills

  • Communicate clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing

  • Willingness to work a full range of school hours as necessary and ability to respond to school technology emergencies that may occur on evenings and weekends

This is a full-time, permanent position, beginning in July, 2019. This position offers a competitive salary and benefits package.
