Minimum Qualifications

Graduation from a four-year college or university with a major in electronics, telecommunications, engineering, or a closely related field. Experience in the field of work related to the position’s role may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.

RCDD or other low voltage certification/licensure preferred.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This position functions as the Manager for all Physical infrastructure activities. The Manager should lead the team in all Physical Infrastructure activities.

This includes :

- coordinating the work of external vendors/contractors to minimize the disruption of the University mission

- designing and managing the implementation of enterprise scale infrastructure projects

-developing and promoting a motivated, professional working environment for the Physical Infrastructure group.

-Responsibility for overseeing functions such as fiber optic networks, Fire Alarm Systems, installation / troubleshooting of network switches and wireless access points, phone systems, as well as physical wiring.

-Supervising 6 team members which includes coaching and mentoring of employees and creating work plans and providing performance evaluations

-Mapping and maintenance of campus fiber optic data network
