Involves managing technical projects having a defined beginning and end. Manages the project's framework processes and methodologies involving departmental or cross-functional teams. Plans, coordinates and monitors scope, requirements, schedules, budgets, resources, tasks, risks, staff and deliverables. Monitors the project from initiation through completion. Organizes and leads activities relating to the management and completion of projects. 

Applies skills as a seasoned, experienced technical project management professional with a full understanding of project management frameworks and methods, relevant policies and procedures to resolve a wide range of issues. Demonstrates competency in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions. Manages projects of diverse scope, size, impact, budget and / or project team size.  

Bachelor's degree in related area and / or equivalent experience / training. 

Knowledge of ITIL/IT Service Management and IT processes and practices. 

Proven experience with IT service management processes and ITSM systems to track incidents, changes, and other aspects of service management. 

Knowledge of professional concepts that includes project lifecycle management, and software development lifecycle. 

Working knowledge of technology-related products, services and initiatives. 

Experience successfully managing large IT projects from initiation through delivery, including oversight of system integration, project and campus communications, interface with vendors, and managing risk. 

Requires ability to assess campus and customer needs for information technology products and design services to meet those needs. 

Knowledge of business analysis function and related tools, including report query tools, process flows and diagrams, and financial analyses and forecasts. 

Strong customer service orientation. 

Proven ability to work in teams and successfully lead teams. 

Demonstrated ability to determine relevance and prioritize tasks. 

Strong political acumen and ability to influence and galvanize staff and others toward a common goal or vision. 

Proven ability to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. 

Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills. 

Ability to communicate effectively in writing, including writing project documentation, specifications, policies and procedures, and presentations to communicate status or case for action.  

Knowledge of Agile/Scrum and DevOps IT processes and practices. 

Knowledge of Information Technology security functions and practices. 

Professional certification preferred. 

ITIL Foundation v3. 

PMP. 

Certified Scrum Master.
