St. Timothy’s School seeks a network administrator to begin work immediately. This is a full-time, 12-month, non-teaching position which reports to the Technology Director. Standard benefits for school employees as outlined in the faculty handbook will be included. Applicants for the position should meet the following requirements:

Systems administration expectations:

Attained Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.

Required 2+ years of network administration experience.

Has installed and managed Windows 2008/2012 servers.

Has experience managing PC network workstations in excess of 150 deployed.

Has experience managing Macintosh network stations, and can assist with new deployments.

Is able to deploy custom operating system configurations to network workstations.

Has installed and managed network attached storage (NAS) and storage area network (SAN) devices.

Is able to install and configure Active Directory user management.

Is able to manage Group Policy.

Is able to create and manage user state virtualization, including roaming profiles and folder redirection.

Has familiarity with School Information Systems management, and is willing to learn school-specific systems.

Is able to install and maintain Cisco network switching devices (including ASA firewalls, wireless LAN controllers, and wireless access points).

Has experience managing SonicWall firewalls and content filtering devices.

Is familiar with web content filtering and responsible delivery of internet content.

Is familiar with managing Google-provided academic services.

Is prepared to help St. Timothy’s School reach the goal of 1:1 wireless device deployment across middle school within a year.

Talents:

Possesses excellent written and verbal skills, and has a friendly/outgoing demeanor.

Must be able to go hands-on with end users and provide technical support.

Has the ability to create written policies and standards.

Is able to conduct training sessions and provide written materials for end users.

Has web presence/marketing experience.

Is able to “network” with other local independent schools.

Has experience with budgeting and creating budget proposals.

Is familiar with workstation imaging and deployment.

Is willing to undergo continuing education.

Is willing to undergo annual performance evaluations.

Proposed salary: $65,000/year
