National Presbyterian School, an independent co-educational elementary (Nursery-Grade 6) school located in Washington, DC, seeks a full-time Information Technology Support Specialist to help monitor and maintain the school’s technology systems.

The NPS IT Support Specialist works closely with the school’s Information Systems Director, and reports to the Chief Financial Officer, who oversees the school’s technology systems.

In prospective employees, the school is looking for professionals who not only have the skills and expertise necessary to thrive in this role, but who also welcome the opportunity to serve an elementary school and its systems, students, and employees.  While the IT Support Specialist does not have teaching responsibilities, this school employee would be expected to participate in the life of the school by attending faculty meetings and performing periodic duties related to the supervision of children during lunch, recess, and dismissal.

 

Specific aspects of the role of Information Technology Support Specialist include but are not limited to: 1) Providing tech and A/V support to students and staff during regular school hours and special events; 2) Monitoring printing management systems, Macbooks, iPads and Google Workspace; 3) Delivering excellent customer service while adhering to the guidelines of the IT Department and general school policies; 4) Providing training on technological tools and creating instructional documents for users, and 5) Tracking, updating, distributing, and managing technology equipment.
